Load processing is the successive execution of the series of software ("jobs") in the computer.
A term load originated in the times whenever computer programmer wrote code in paper forms which would exist as keypunched onto 80-column punch cards or paper tape. A cards or even tape would so exist as passed to the models operator ("sysop") world health organization would schedule a project & late stage feed a program into a a computer. Because the total of tasks would become 'batched' together like than become put into a patterns immediately a tasks were known as "batch jobs".
Load jobs are non thought of when interactional, however transaction processing systems such as IBM's CICS may run from a technical perspective as batch jobs, although this is typically obscured from terminal users.
